I am on the executive committee of the Body Corporate at 'Bay Village', Shoal Bay, NSW.
Our building consists of a mixture of commercial and residential allotments. 34 in total. We have a large underground car park which because of its warmth and protection from the wind has unfortunately been home to a very large and increasing number of Swallows for most of its 40 years. The excessive bird droppings created a dirty, smelly and unhealthy environment.
Numerous body corporate committees have, over the years, tried an untold number of methods to remove the swallows. Nothing worked until we used the services of Newcastle & Hunter Animal Control. Having received a licence from the National Parks and Wildlife to cull the birds, we contracted Gary at Newcastle & Hunter Animal Control to carry out the work. Two nights in consecutive weeks were programmed for the cull, however the first night was so successful no birds were present the second night.
If the problem were to reoccur in the future I would have no hesitation in calling on the services of Newcastle & Hunter Animal Control.
